Bring Computer Science to the District

Help me give my students the Computer Science devices they need to succeed in STEAM! The possibilities are endless in what students can create with the Makey Makey and microbit. Kindergarteners love coding the Bee Bots!

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Whitney's classroom raised $1,931

My Project

Help me introduce Computer Science to the students in my district. Computer Science education is important for all students to learn about. Computer Science not only builds confidence in students (both girls and boys!), it builds their critical thinking and problem solving skills. Along with coding and creating, students also learn digital literacy skills to stay safe in our technology-driven world!

ALL students, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, or other factors should be provided opportunities to learn and participate in Computer Science classes.

The students in my district have not had the opportunity to experience a Computer Science course at the elementary level. With the devices in this project, students can use their school Chromebooks to code, program, design games, and physical compute, on the free educational Computer Science websites available to us!

Please help me provide Computer Science education to my students, while also improving the disparities in access and representation in the field. Your donation will improve the education of the Computer Scientists in my district!
