My Students

I have our motto placed right at the front door of the classroom. "The Harder the Struggle the More Glorious the Triumph...Keep it 100!" These are the words my kids and I live by every day.

Caring, hilarious, ambitious, rambunctious, curious, creative, excited, eager, silly (very silly sometimes), adventurous, kind, loving…these are just a few of the words that can describe my students.

They amaze me each day with their talents and their hearts. The amount of adversity and struggles that these kids face is overwhelming to most, however, my kids raise up to the challenge. My school is an amazing place to work, and I am not just saying that! The staff and administration are great to work with, and it is evident every day how much they care for their students.

My Project

The upcoming 2016-2017 school year is the first time my school will be offering Computer Science. This project is requesting summer computer science training for myself so I will be provided with the information that I need to be an effective Computer Science teacher.

I teach at a Title I school that has an increasing number of English language learners.

Computer Science is a way for all students to learn a skill that will provide training for a future job.
