Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom consists of 18 Kindergarten students, all from different backgrounds and learning styles. The majority of my students are entering school for their first time and are learning English as their second language. Every day as I greet them, they enter my classroom smiling, happy and eager to begin their day of learning.
These five and six - year old students have a world ahead of them, Kindergarten is just the beginning of their educational journey.
Having the privilege of being their teacher and seeing the joy in their faces as they make new learning discoveries each day is priceless.
My Project
As a teacher I am always on the look out for new and innovative ways to present my daily lessons to my students. As a Kindergarten teacher, I have learned that the more attractive, vibrant and colorful the material I present to my students the more engaged they become. The materials that I would like to have through this project will have a direct impact on the students.
Whether we are learning Writing skills, Math, Science or Reading there is something personalized that can be created that can draw my students attention.
Having this color printer in the classroom will make a big difference as my students learn the many themes in Kindergarten required by our curriculum.
