Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach students STEM in grades K-5 grade. Many of my students enjoy coding on free sites, but it is not a tangible medium. I want to provide students an opportunity to see coding in a different light by transferring their code not just to a game, but to an object that they will be able to manipulate. With the Micro:bit Club Kit and learning guide, they will be able to code messages, create hand games, and solve an unimaginable amount of problems. The possibilities for them will be endless!

My students are amazing!

I teach 600 STEM from grade K-5. Many of our students are from impoverished households and unique opportunities are not often afforded to them, unless they are provided in the school setting. I want to provide my students with multiple opportunities to explore the world of STEM so they may discover their interests outside of what they know.
