Bring Back Our Basketball Team

Help me give my students back their basketball team. During a renovation of our school, many of our basketballs went missing, we need to replenish if we have any hopes of restarting our teams this year.

My Students

My students are from a Title I School in Philadelphia. Most are living in a single parent, grandparent or foster parent home. I teach grades K-8 and interact with every student. They are curious, have lots of energy and always eager to try something new.

I need basketballs!

During the pandemic, our school was completely reorganized and many basketballs went missing! The students are excited to return to school and resume our after school clubs and teams. I need more basketballs to be able to do that!

My Project

My students love basketball! We have two programs at our school. Open gym in the morning where students can shoot around and play for fun; then in the afternoon we have a club. We play a few schools, but mostly it keeps our students supervised and gives them a safe space to play, do homework and just be kids!

During pandemic renovations, many basketballs have gone missing.

We need to replace this equipment so we can hope to bring our programs back this year. Our students want nothing more than to return to their school routines, and basketball is a huge part of that. Please help me bring basketball back!
