My students need art supplies for our art lessons. Our school does not have an art teacher, so the only art they get is what I teach them.

My Students

If you were to enter our classroom I believe two things would really stand out. The first, is that in our classroom we are a team. We work together, help one another and build each other up. The second, is that the priority in our room is the students. Each one.

These kids are the future.

I want to prepare them to be compassionate and tolerant scientists, mathematicians, authors and artists. Or whatever else they will be. Giving them hands-on opportunities to become excited and motivated to learn is what I want to do. This group is not just 23 kids. They are thinkers and doers. They are the kind of kids that make me happy to do what I do.

My Project

I would love to give my class opportunities and exposure to different types of art. I would love to teach them how to use water colors, charcoal and oil pastels. If we get this project funded we will use the water colors, pastels, charcoals, and water color paper to help make these lessons happen. My school does not have money for art, so this project is my hope of getting supplies to help bring art into my classroom.

This could help ignite a passion for art in a future painter.

Many of my students do not have the means to do extra curricular activities or even buy school supplies, so I know that they do not have the resources at home to be exposed to art. Please help fund this project and bring art into the lives of my students. Who knows, you could help find the next Picasso.
