Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am the academic reading intervention teacher and I see students from third to fifth grade. I try to include art activities into reading activities to engage them and make learning fun.
We have so many talented students in our school that want to engage in creative art projects. They work hard and should also have an opportunity to work and enjoy doing something fun like art.
In order for the art club to work or take place we need art supplies that make it happen. I am asking for brushes, paint, canvas, clay and other things to engage in different projects.
Our school is in a low income community where there aren't many programs for the kids to attend. When students are in programs they focus in academic not the arts. Having a small art club can be the beginning of something beautiful for them.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
