Bring the arts back to the classroom! So much of our day is spent teaching language arts and math that visual art is often forgotten. Not only is there not always time for arts, but often not enough space in the classroom to do the projects. This drying rack will give us the space we need for art
I have 22 wonderful first graders who love school.
They are outgoing, caring, and a genuinely gracious students. Our school is surrounded by art all around the community, and the students would love to be able to do more art in the classroom as well.
My Project
The recourse I am requesting is a drying rack for the classroom. Currently, if we do an art project requiring paint, there is no space in the classroom for the projects to dry. If we move them outside, they blow away. If we move them to the back of the room, they get stepped on. If we leave projects on students desks then they are unable to do any other school work until the paint dries! Having a drying rack would allow us to bring art into the classroom, and still have the space for everything else we need to do.
By funding this project, you are making the day of 22 first graders who are just waiting to be inspired by all that the arts have to offer.
This drying rack will ensure space in the classroom to not only do all the academic required subjects, but visual arts will be integrated into the curriculum, as well.
