Do you remember the first time you typed and printed your first paper? Well my students are great authors and would love to see their work typed and published! I have a terrific group of 5th grade students who love to write stories and type research papers.
I teach thirty 5th grade boys and girls who are terrific authors.
We currently do not access to a printer, and my students desperately want to be able to type and print their papers, poems, and projects. Due to current budget restraints it is very difficult to obtain resources that will enable my students to reach their full potential. My students love to write and would greatly appreciate a chance to print their published work in order to fulfill their creative endeavors. Also, by having my students type their papers they will be able to learn how to type, and also I can teach them how to format papers and use spell check.
My Project
This project would allow my students to see their work published in a printed format and also to allow them to practice printing papers for the remainder of their educational career. My students are college-bound and this will allow them to practice. This will drastically change my students attitude toward writing if they could see their work typed and printed. The scanner will allow students to scan pictures for projects.
Having a printer/scanner/copier in our classroom would benefit our class in a tremendous way by encouraging students to use technology to their advantage and be creative in the way they display their work.
