My Students

My classroom is self-contained, and I teach in an urban area. Reading is very important, and I want to highlight the importance of it this year with this group of students. I do know that I will have a variety of students on different levels. I have a group of students that come from different backgrounds.

My Project

Help me reach and connect to my male population of my classroom. The little boys in my class are not as motivated to read for enjoyment in my classroom. Most of the books in my classroom are informational and don't appeal much to the boys.

These books will make a difference to show the little boys that there is fun and excitement in reading!

During their spare time, they can pick up a book instead of drawing. There will be a book in the classroom, that appeals to their interest.
