My Project

I love how curious, creative, and hands-on my students are—they’re always eager to explore the world around them in meaningful ways.

This project gives them the chance to combine science, art, and technology as they dive into researching birds native to the United States.

They’ll learn about ecosystems, geography, and animal adaptations, then bring their learning to life by designing and laser-cutting their own birdhouses using a Glowforge.

The best part? They get to take their birdhouses home, where they can observe and learn about the birds in their own backyards or neighborhoods.

It’s a powerful way to extend learning beyond the classroom and spark a lasting connection to nature right outside their door.
