Brilliant Bilingual Books for Newcomers!

Help me give my students copies of bilingual books to support our Newcomers and Immigrant students.

My Project

Students within the classroom who are from different ethnic backgrounds are often viewed as less than or at a disadvantage to their peers.

With the aid of these materials, these students will be able to shine and show just how valuable and capable they truly are.

The addition of Spanish and bilingual texts will give these students the variety and normalcy they crave within the reading block.

It is disheartening to see that Spanish speakers are often limited to a few books to read throughout the entire school year. These limited resources often stunt their growth, terminate their joy of reading, and draw attention to their "differences." Other resources will help me as an educator propel these students forward and ensure that just because these students may not have a substantial English background they do not fall behind in their education.

Our classroom is blessed to be made up of students from many different countries, cultures, and language backgrounds.
