Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our students at our school are unlike any students you have ever met. Our students have so much personality and love for school. Despite these students' backgrounds and living situations they manage to come to school and succeed. These students are predominately Hispanic and most come from lower-income families. Our school is a Title I school that receives some support from the surrounding community. The community itself is very close and strives to do a lot of the students' needs.

The students at our school are simply the best!

They have so much pride in their community and their school and we want to be able to support them in all the areas of their life while they are at school.

My Project

Many of the materials listed in this project are to support the overall look of the classroom. Many of my students had to take the items we usually share within the room around this school year. This leads to most of the materials being damaged or dirty due to use. These items would allow me to accommodate the students in our co-taught classroom and provide them with new materials!

We are trying to make the 21-22 school year brighter!

By helping us purchase these items, we can begin making it brighter visually for now!

The magnet strips will allow for us to visually aid most of our students with anchor charts and resources they will need throughout the school year. Another important item is the student's book boxes. We have our students "Book Shop" from our classroom library. Students will be responsible for these books while they have them. These boxes will allow for our students to have a safe space for them.
