My Project

This DonorsChoose project is targeted to help build and organize a classroom book club collection for 3rd-grade students. Book clubs are a valuable part of the classroom experience, where students build community, strengthen their reading skills, and learn to express their ideas through meaningful discussion. While there is a decent selection of books currently, the goal is to offer even more variety and levels so that every reader, no matter their starting point, can find a book that excites and challenges them.

Every child deserves a book that makes them feel seen, capable, and excited to read.

This project will provide titles that reflect a wide range of interests, cultures, and reading abilities. The aim is to ensure that all students can participate meaningfully in book clubs, whether they are reading above grade level or still developing fluency. To support this, the project includes storage bins, labels, and binders to keep each set of books organized and accessible for student use.

In addition, a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card has been included to purchase discussion guides, comprehension activities, and other resources tailored to each book set. These materials will help enrich the book club experience and support targeted instruction for diverse learners. With the help of generous donors, this project will bring engaging, inclusive reading opportunities to every student in the classroom.
