This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom is a powerful venue for exploration, information gathering, understanding, creativity, expression, and celebration. The students in this classroom, and their families, have come to us from all corners of the globe. The students love to learn about others and share their own cultural customs and traditions.

Your donation to this project will help these young students embark on a cultural examination that will help them learn about and explore the customs and traditions of the Lunar New Year.

During our Lunar New Year celebration, Students will rotate through centers in the classroom to explore the Lunar New Year Traditions and Customs. I will add the Year of the Snake book in this project, to the collection of Lunar New Year books we already have in our classroom library and put them on display for students to explore in the glow of the neon lights that encourage reading. The students will then put on their lab coat and goggles in preparation for the most exciting Lunar New Year STEM activity at the science station: They will experience the joy of paleontology as they excavate their very own dragons from golden dragon eggs! Thank you for your donation to help students explore new cultures. Thank you for helping them to learn about and participate in some of the customs and traditions celebrated in the Lunar New Year.
