Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I serve two San Francisco elementary schools in the Bayview neighborhood. My students come from diverse backgrounds and are learning both English and Spanish in grades PreK through second. They love to play games and put together word puzzles. During these challenging pandemic days, I have been printing color materials for my students to use both in class and to take home. The students are always excited when they have new, brightly colored activities that reinforce the skills we are working on in our lessons.

By creating printable materials, I can provide for all of their specific learning needs.

It’s amazing to see these students continue to learn and thrive even during these challenging times.

My Project

I am always running out of printing supplies. The different colored cartridges need to be replenished often.

I would like to continue to make colorful and meaningful resources for my K through 2nd grade students this year.

So far I have created alphabet picture matching cards and sight word games that students use during literacy center time, as well as take home flash cards for those students needing more practice. I print reading booklets and pictures for display. I can also print resources in other languages that help our families engage at home in their student’s learning. Any donation is much appreciated!
