This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach in a dual language classroom where students are growing as bilingual learners every day. I am reaching out to ask for your support in providing a valuable tool that would make a meaningful difference in our classroom: a color printer.

In a dual language setting, visual learning is essential.

Colorful resources help students make connections between two language, especially when introducing new vocabulary, cultural materials, and subject content. A color printer would allow me to create engaging, bilingual learning materials like charts, flashcards, anchor texts, and visual aids that support comprehension and retention.

Currently, our access to printed color materials is extremely limited. Being able to print in color right in the classroom would let me adapt and personalize resources quickly to meet the diverse needs of my students -especially for those who are visual or emerging readers.

More than just a convenience, a color printer would help bring lessons to life.
