Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Kids who are hungry cannot learn. Hunger can cause impatience, exhaustion, and trouble focusing, which makes it harder to engage in class activities and learn new material. In order for my students to perform at their highest level throughout the day, I attempt to provide them with a small energy boost through snacks and fruits.
I hope that this project will allow me to provide my students with some nutritious snacks that will help them feel better and focus throughout the day.
Often times I buy them snacks, but at times it can be very challenging to buy them because I have more than 180 students.
My students range from 9th to 12th grade that I usually have in my Spanish class and my Softball club. For these students, my role as a teacher involves more than just nourishing their minds; occasionally, I also have to satisfy their hunger. By working together, we can make sure no child goes to school hungry. We appreciate your kind assistance!
