This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 3rd-grade students are eager learners who thrive when they have the right tools to bring their ideas to life. With scissors, notebooks, and crayons, we’ll create an environment where literacy blossoms and creativity thrives.

The composition notebooks will give my students a space to practice their writing skills, from journaling their thoughts to drafting imaginative stories.

The crayons will make their writing and reading activities vibrant, helping them illustrate key story details and deepen comprehension. The child-safe scissors will support hands-on literacy projects, like cutting out vocabulary words, creating storyboards, and crafting reading response booklets.

These essential supplies will empower my students—many of whom are English language learners and bilingual—to express themselves confidently in both words and art. Your support will help us build literacy skills in a way that is fun, engaging, and accessible for all learners in our classroom.
