it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My first-grade classroom in Plainfield, NJ is filled with eager, curious learners who thrive in a structured and inviting learning environment. Our school serves students from low- to middle-income families, and many children come to school each day without access to the tools that make organization and independent learning easier. This project will provide essential materials to help my students stay engaged, organized, and ready to learn.
The Lakeshore Leveled Library Mobile Storage Cart and Leveled Library Checkout Chart will allow students to independently select just-right books at their reading level, helping them build fluency, confidence, and a love of reading.
With clear checkout procedures, students will also practice responsibility and ownership of their learning materials.
The Number Line Math Activity Chart will become a key reference during math lessons, helping students visualize number concepts, addition, and subtraction. The Touch & Read Write & Wipe Cards provide tactile, hands-on phonics practice, giving students a fun and effective way to build foundational reading skills.
To support classroom organization and student independence, we are requesting a Classroom Supplies Organization Chart and black clipboard holders. These tools will make it easier for students to locate and store materials, reduce transition time, and foster responsibility for shared supplies.
With your support, my students will have the tools they need to stay organized, build independence, and focus on learning. Your generosity will directly impact our daily routines, our love of reading and math, and our overall classroom success
