My Project
In our classroom, learning happens through focus, creativity, and lots of writing! To help my students do their best thinking and learning every day, we need a few simple but essential supplies: composition notebooks for our word work lessons, highlighters to engage with mentor sentences, a reliable pencil sharpener to keep us writing smoothly, and enough tissues to keep everyone healthy and in class.
Our word work activities build vocabulary, grammar, and writing fluency—and they’re most effective when students have dedicated notebooks and tools that help them stay organized and engaged.
Highlighters are a favorite tool during mentor sentence activities, where students analyze strong writing to become better writers themselves.
We’re also asking for classroom Kleenex to support students’ health all year long. A stocked tissue supply means fewer interruptions and more time learning. And a dependable pencil sharpener ensures that our writing doesn't have to pause for a dull pencil.
These simple supplies help create a smooth, supportive, and engaging environment where bright ideas can shine every day. Thank you for helping us stay sharp, stay well, and stay focused!
