Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our classroom, we celebrate growth, curiosity, and the joy of learning together. Whether we’re tackling a tough text, building community through conversation, or simply sharing snacks and stories, we do it as a team. My students light up when they feel seen, supported, and equipped with the tools they need to succeed, and that’s what this project is all about.
The supplies in this project—planners, presentation boards, pencils, and Sharpies—will support my students in becoming more organized, confident, and engaged in their learning.
Planners will help students build essential time-management and executive functioning skills. Many of my students juggle school, work, family responsibilities, and extracurriculars. With planners, they’ll be able to track assignments, set goals, and take ownership of their learning in a way that fosters independence and responsibility.
Presentation boards will give students a platform to proudly display their work during class projects, exhibitions, and presentations. Whether they’re creating a visual for a research project or showcasing personal reflections, these boards help build public speaking skills, boost confidence, and encourage creativity.
Pencils and Sharpies may seem like simple supplies, but they are essential tools for learning. Pencils support everyday tasks—note-taking, sketching ideas, completing assignments—while Sharpies allow students to add bold, creative touches to their presentations and projects. Having access to these materials ensures students don’t have to worry about being unprepared—they can just focus on doing their best.
These resources will help my students feel more equipped and more excited to engage in their education. Your support helps make our classroom a place where every student has what they need to thrive.
