Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have the pleasure of working in an elementary school in the Bronx with a large immigrant population. Many of my students just moved to America and have limited proficiency in English. My students come from all around the world and bring with them their rich cultural backgrounds.
This pandemic only highlights my students' outstanding tenacity!
They have faced the challenges of remote learning and have only grown more determined to succeed. What I love most about my students is their devotion to learning, exploration, and creativity. Please help my students receive the tools they need to be successful in our classroom and remotely.
My Project
The school year is quickly approaching! On September 10th I want my students to walk into a bright and cheery classroom to get them excited for our reopening. With these supplies I will be able to do a classroom makeover and set the tone for a fun learning environment.
Brand new bulletin board paper, name plates, and other class decorations will light up the classroom!
With these new supplies I hope to inspire the students to dive back into school routines and learning habits. We have a lot of catching up to do, so every little detail counts!
