My Students

I teach third grade in a high-poverty school in Georgia. I serve students with a wide range of abilities.

Many of my students are far below grade level.

Despite the challenges, my third graders are very enthusiastic learners who love reading and science. They are a group of hardworking, kind kids who are excited about school and love learning new things. I want to give them the best chance possible.

My Project

I am trying to move away from leveling my classroom library. I want to give students more options by changing to a themed library. Instead of limiting them to certain leveled books, I want to engage my students by their interests. I think my students will love reading books based on seasons and holidays.

These holiday books are going to be perfect for getting kids excited to read this season.

I know my students will be so excited to get their hands on these colorful and exciting stories that represent them.
