This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having the same necessary school supplies for all students helps create a more equitable learning environment by leveling the playing field, especially at a Title 1 school. When everyone has access to the same materials—such as pencil boxes, pencils, folders, or water bottles—students can focus on learning rather than worrying about what they don’t have. This consistency reduces distractions, prevents feelings of embarrassment or inadequacy, and allows teachers to plan lessons more effectively, knowing every student is equipped to participate fully. It fosters a sense of inclusion, fairness, and preparedness, which are essential for building student confidence and academic success.
