My Project
My students are enthusiastic, curious, and full of energy. They come to school each day excited to learn, ready to explore, and eager to connect. As 5- and 6-year-olds, many are entering the classroom for the very first time. For some, this is their first exposure to books, writing tools, or structured learning routines.
Our school serves a diverse community, and many of my students come from low-income households.
Despite facing challenges outside of the classroom, they show up each day with smiles on their faces and a willingness to learn. I want to give them the strongest possible start. I am requesting hands-on materials that will support literacy, fine motor development, and engagement in the classroom. Items like such as The ECR4Kids Leaf Floor Seats will help transform our learning space into a calm, kid-friendly environment where students can focus and feel comfortable while reading, writing, or working in small groups. These rocker-style chairs are designed specifically for young children and allow gentle movement while seated — a feature that’s especially helpful for kindergarteners who are still developing self-regulation and body awareness.
Kindergarten is all about movement, exploration, and discovery. Comfortable and flexible seating options like the ECR4Kids Leaf Chairs support active learning by giving students the freedom to choose where and how they work best. These chairs are low to the ground, perfectly sized for little learners, and allow gentle rocking, which helps students stay focused and calm.
