My Project
I work with struggling readers in small group instruction. My goal is to meet them where they are and advance them to grade level before the end of the year.
I try to make my lessons engaging and hands on.
Struggling readers need more engagement to reach their goals.
With books and hands-on materials, they can develop the traits of a good reader.
They all have different deficits that need to be met and I love the challenge of seeing them grasp the skills they need to become life long readers. I want to help my students shed the stigma that they can't read.
