it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We see bridges and drive, and walk, over them all the time. However, we typically don’t spend a lot of time thinking about how they are built or how they can hold so much weight. However, there is a lot of planning, engineering and science that goes into bridge building.
I am requesting materials that will challenge my students to build a bridge.
The class packs I'm requesting contain enough materials for each of my students to build and test a wooden bridge. This collaborative, yet competitive activity, will challenge students to design and construct a wooden bridge, calculate its efficiency, then select the best design. (Perhaps we might even engage in destruction testing afterwards!)
