My Students
My kindergarten students are vibrant, funny, inquisitive little humans who love learning about the world around them. They are eager to learn. They love to play. They love reading books, participating in dramatic play, using technology, and participating in outdoor activities to help them learn and grow. Even though the last few months have been unprecedented and extremely challenging, learning remotely due to the pandemic, my students are trying to learn and work in this new normal. I’m so proud of how resilient they are.
My students love school.
For many of them, our school is a safe haven. It's where they come to feel safe, feel love, build relationships, and to learn. Part of my responsibility is to provide a nurturing and rich environment that allows them to grow, inquire, learn, and question the world around them. At the same time, provide them with love and push them to be the best human beings that they can possibly be. They often rise to meet and exceed my expectations when the right materials and tools are at their fingertips. Oh, the places they can go to!
My Project
This upcoming school year is going to be super exciting! We will be returning to in-person learning for all students and teachers. These resources will help make returning to school this year so rewarding. In addition, The See-Through Pouches and School-To-Home Organizers will help make the school year go smoothly.
All important notices and communications between school and home will be easily accessible and organized with these school-to-home organizers and see-through pouches.
Teaching my students to be organized for learning is one of my goals for the school year. Organization is so important and can help make the transition from school to home less scary and much more fun for my kindergarten students. The beginning of Kindergarten can be unsettling for some Kindergarten scholars (and their parents). However, organization and transparency can make that transition smoother and pleasant.
The webcam will be just the right thing for those times when we will have to learn remotely. Remote learning is not going away. We've learned strategies and tools that can make it work. This webcam is one of those tools that can make it work for both students that are in person and for those students that are at home learning remotely. Students will be able to interact and see each other as they learn, grow, and build community. Building community is another one of my goals for this school year.
