My Project
My first-grade students are bright, curious, and eager to learn. They come to school every day ready to explore new ideas, ask questions, and challenge themselves. Many of them come from underserved communities where access to technology is limited, but that doesn't stop them from dreaming big. I want to give them the tools they need to succeed in today's digital world.
The laptops I am requesting will transform my classroom by providing students with hands-on access to interactive learning platforms.
These tools will help them strengthen their reading, writing, and math skills through engaging activities. Programs like ABCmouse, IXL, and Starfall will allow them to practice foundational skills in a way that keeps them motivated and excited about learning. Additionally, having access to technology will help my students develop early digital literacy skills, preparing them for future academic success.
My goal is to provide my students with the resources they need to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world. These laptops will:
Enhance literacy and math skills with interactive learning programs.
Promote independence by allowing students to practice at their own pace.
Introduce basic STEM concepts through coding and problem-solving activities.
My students are incredibly resilient, hardworking, and full of potential. They come from diverse backgrounds, and despite the challenges they may face, they show up every day with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. They deserve the same opportunities as students in well-funded schools, and this project will help provide them with the tools they need to succeed.
