Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The math supplies I'm requesting—such as interactive math games, manipulatives, and math practice books—will provide hands-on, engaging experiences that help students grasp key concepts. These tools allow for individualized learning, making abstract math ideas more concrete. They will also encourage active participation, increase problem-solving skills, and boost students' confidence, which is crucial for their success in math intervention programs.
The goal of this project is to provide my students with the resources they need to build a strong foundation in math, particularly for those who struggle with traditional methods of instruction.
By incorporating fun and interactive materials, I aim to keep my students engaged, motivated, and confident in their math abilities. Ultimately, I want to see them improve in their problem-solving skills, raise their math proficiency, and develop a lifelong love for learning.
My students are incredibly resilient and determined, often facing challenges in their math learning. Despite these challenges, they are always eager to learn and improve. They bring diverse perspectives, and many come from backgrounds where educational resources are limited, which makes the support and materials we receive even more impactful. Their curiosity, drive, and ability to persevere through difficulties make them special, and they deserve the tools to unlock their full potential.
