This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students missed a huge amount of learning and instruction during the past pandemic virtual learning. Having identified those learning gaps, my goal is to bridge those missing links and gaps with the appropriate grade-level concepts and skills by providing them with rigorous and engaging lessons. Most of these lessons are digital information from the internet such as videos, educational games, Google Drive documents and many more. With the use of this handy iPad, I can easily access all of these teaching resources and project them/ stream them on TV as I am in front of the class interacting with the students.
Interaction and collaboration among educators and students were also sacrificed during the past virtual learning.
This has impacted the social-emotional life of most students. With the use of this device, I can then interact with them by monitoring their progress on screen. I can also provide them immediate feedback on how they perform in any assigned task whether it is an educational game such as Kahoot.com, Quizizz.com, blooket.com, or any interactive lesson. These interactive lessons help enhance students' learning. These will improve their social skills and interaction with other students as well. They learn how to follow game rules, camaraderie, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.
In addition, I can also carry this device with me every time we do outdoor investigations or experiments for the following reasons, document students' presentations, experimental data, or projects, access any immediate internet information, access gradebook if needed, and many more.
Finally, this device will save me a lot of time in addition to the amount of teaching and learning that this device can provide.
