This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I’m very excited to begin my first year in 6th grade. I'm looping with my students and they have read all the books I have in 5th grade. I'm writing this project so I can get a set of the book Bridge to Terabithia for my 6th graders.
My students are readers and our class is about 40 students strong.
Students love to have a hard copy of the books and this will help them be focus and engaged with their reading.
By being able to purchase a set of novels for our classroom, we will be able to create a book club/literature circle that will allow students to meet in small groups to discuss the story, adventures, relationships, connections, and life lessons, that can be found in this story, with one another. It is the key to unlocking more of the magic behind reading and letting students soar to success.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
