My Project
We have a successful Lego Club at our school and our students love building together and creating finished projects. Our students range in skill levels, so this club is a perfect learning lab for the first time builder to the advanced builder.
That said, these Lego kits will provide an opportunity for our students to grow in more deliberate and focused ways.
Some of our students are ready to work with these kits already, and for our students that are not, these kits will be a major steppingstone to strive towards.
Our students need exposure to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math), especially away from their computers. They need to be part of the design and building process so they can truly understand how the technology functions. This exposure will also help students engage with technology in healthy ways in a safe and productive space.
Exposure to STEAM in the early years, at the elementary level is fundamental for future success. When students are engaged early enough, they do not become overwhelmed in the middle and high school years because they already understand the basics.
We have already ignited a fire in our club to dream big and innovate and these kits will bring a new level of excitement and focus to our brick blazing brainiacs.
