Brewing Independence: Special Ed Students Run A Coffee Cart!

Help me give my students in Special Education Class a way to see how their skills work in the real world.

FULLY FUNDED! Mr. W.'s classroom raised $222

This project is fully funded

My Project

Through a hands-on coffee cart project, our special education classroom teaches students essential life skills, such as money management, customer service, and responsibility.

This kitchen shelf will allow the SPED class to learn valuable skills in customer service, build confidence, and prepare them for future jobs - All while raising money to support our special education program!

How Will This Make a Difference?

We already have an espresso machine and a coffee pot, and we are working on small supplies like cups and coffee. These items will allow our students to:

Learn basic money skills, including budgeting and pricing.

Practice customer service by serving coffee to teachers and staff to raise money for an underfunded special education class.

Gain real-world job experience to help them secure a job after school or graduation.

The coffee cart will provide a practical, interactive way for students to learn essential skills while supporting their education.

What Are Our Goals?

Our goals for this project are to:

Teach students how to manage money, interact with customers, and handle a small business.

Raise funds for our special education program to enhance future learning opportunities.

Build students' by giving them ownership of the coffee cart and its success.

What Makes Our Students Special?

Our students are hardworking, resilient, and motivated to learn. While they face unique challenges, they are eager to succeed and take pride in their work. This project allows them to apply their skills meaningfully, build self-esteem, and contribute to their school community.

By supporting this project, you'll help your students gain real-world skills and raise funds for their education. I appreciate your support!
