My Students

I am the lucky teacher of 25 vivacious and curious fourth graders. We represent almost all the countries on the globe. From China to Africa to the Philippines. We live in San Francisco, California, and have the privilege of living in a wonderfully diverse city that is truly represented in our classroom.

We love to read, write, play, dance, and sing.

We play sports, solve problems, and work hard to make the world we live in a better place. I am so proud of all of them.

My Project

These materials will help my students, especially those who are compromised with respiratory problems, to be able to have a safe learning environment.

Having air purifiers in the classroom will allow us to focus on learning and not be adversely affected by the smoke from fires.

The fires have caused students to be indoors for quite some time and breathing has gotten more and more problematic as time has gone on. Being able to learn without the side effects of breathing in particulate matter would be such a benefit. Students are currently suffering from headaches, sore throats, and are missing school because of the inability to breath appropriately.
