Help me give my students cleaner air by controlling the quality of air in the classroom. This can be accomplished with an Air Purifier that can help eliminate airborne particles.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is located in the southern tip of Texas in a city called Brownsville near the border that separates U.S. and Mexico. Although, many of the students have daily challenges they come to school ready to learn and do their best.
The students I proudly serve are motivated and enthusiastic about learning priceless life lessons when they come to class.
They enjoy sharing their personal experiences and engaging in meaningful discussions to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our counseling program provides the skills necessary for the students to achieve academic success, delve into an array of career opportunites, and develop skills to respond accordingly to issues they may face today, tomorrow, and in the future.
My Project
An Air Purifier is definitely an important item to have in class during this COVID-19 pandemic. One of the biggest concerns that students and parents continue to have is keeping kids and teachers safe and healthy. By addressing the indoor air quality in the classroom, it will allow the students to feel safer and be more comfortable in fulfilling daily activities. I can already see an increase in student performance when they are given this peace of mind and they hear the Air Purifier doing its job in trapping harmful germs and viruses. As time goes by, the air filter will have to be replaced and that is why an extra filter is needed. We will be set for the remainder of the year with these items. We truly need your support to make this a reality.
