This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A calming area will provide a safe space for students to practice identifying the various emotions which may surface as well as practice healthy coping and self-regulation strategies.

A calming area in a classroom has proven to help students regulate the big emotions they feel and return to learning faster.

With your generous donations and help , the hand2mind sensory play fidget toys, led lamps a diffuser and book, swill provide my students with a calming space and create an atmosphere of reduced external stimulation for all of my students. A space that will provide them with a variety of calming tools to help them learn to not only identify but also learn strategies to self-regulate when they are dealing with big emotions in the classroom. It will provide a calming atmosphere.
