This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am beyond excited to have the opportunity to participate in the Mindfulness, SEL, and Yoga Teacher Training with Breathe for Change!

As an educator, I am always looking for new ways to improve the lives of my students, their families, and the school community.

I am beyond excited to become certified and be able to teach SEL strategies, yoga and mindfulness, and wellness workshops. I aim first to bring what I learn into my classroom. I also plan to bring strategies to my fellow educators during professional development days. I would also like to lead workshops for students and their families.

The Breathe for Change training program will provide me with the necessary skills to facilitate wellness and social-emotional learning in the classroom, as well as teach inclusive yoga classes to young people.

I am excited about this journey and look forward to using my new skills to help my students thrive.
