Breathe for Change: Mindful Classroom Management

My Project

I am passionate about creating a safe and happy learning environment for my kindergarten students. My students come from a variety of backgrounds, and have experienced many challenges and hardships. I constantly aim to provide positive behavior management supports and I would love the opportunity to learn more through Breathe for Change.

Breathe for Change is currently offering an MTRSS-aligned online training called Mindful Classroom Management, in which they teach the THRIVE method: T- teach expectations, H-honor experiences, R-respond mindfully, I-identify opportunities, V-validate progress, E-encourage transformation.

I recently completed a 200 hour training with Breathe for Change and became a certified yoga instructor and SEL facilitator. I have used many strategies this past year with my students, I saw amazing results with their social emotional skills and love for yoga!

This training would be beneficial for not only my kindergarten students, but for the climate and environment of my entire school. I look forward to incorporating Breathe for Change yoga, SEL, and their Mindful Classroom Management this coming school year!
