This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We are a community of learners and leaders. The students at University Neighborhood Middle School flourish when they help each other succeed. The materials I requested will provide snacks and fidgets for our inaugural peer mentorship program. This program will allow students to act as peer mentors or "buddies" to fellow students in their community.
What better way to solve a problem then with a snack and a buddy? The snacks and fidgets will provide the tools for students to sit, eat and talk to each other. Middle schools is a complicated time for most, but with fidgets and snacks, most problems can be solved.
