My Students
My students are 21st-century learners who LOVE technology. They love to learn and are excited to try new things.
I am fortunate to work with all students from kindergarten through 6th grade and love sharing new technology with them throughout their time in elementary school.
Many of my students are motivated by innovative ways to learn, especially though the use of technology. They love working in groups and work together to solve problems. They also love using technology as a tool for research, problem solving, learning, reading and day to day practice. My students are excited to learn new things.
I love working with students and teachers in our school as they integrate technology into their teaching and learning.
My Project
Each Breakout EDU kit comes with components needed to make breakout rooms. It also comes with digital access that provides curriculum aligned breakout rooms. Breakout EDU games consist of a combination of digital and physical puzzles that need to be solved in a given amount of time. Players are challenged to open the locked Breakout EDU box using critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity.
I plan to set up breakout rooms for students to compete in small groups of 4-6 students.
These breakout boxes will be used to increase student engagement and collaboration and foster relationships among peers and staff. Once students and teachers are acquainted with the program, I will help them design their own breakout games that are tailored to their academic content areas and interests. Students will use the iPad to time themselves as they complete the breakout as well as solve the digital breakouts on a mobile device, and take pictures as they work.
