My Students
Every morning and every afternoon, we recite our class motto to ourselves and to each other. As the students read their motto, they transform themselves into thinkers, scientists, and world changers. My 19 students are creative, hardworking, and inquisitive. They enter our classroom ready to learn, discover, explore, and share precious memories with each other. They give 100% of their effort in everything they do and inspire me as their teacher and friend every day.
Our class motto is I am an explorer, a creator, and a leader, I am the SPARK to change the world!
We have a diverse school with a range of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. Most of our students receive free or reduced lunch, and we have a large number of students attend ESL and pull-out services including Title I or accommodation services. Our school is part of a tight knit community supported by teachers, parents, and community partners.
My Project
Have you ever been to an escape room? The thrill of discovering clues, figuring out puzzles, and working towards a common goal can be integrated into the classroom through Breakout EDU boxes! Instead of escaping a room, students have to unlock a box using clues and teamwork.
These boxes are great for reviewing skills and giving students extra practice in math, science, and reading.
The Breakout EDU kit will help me bring learning alive for my students! Students will have to work together to complete academic related tasks. The Breakout EDU platform includes access to over 700 academic games that test a wide variety of skills and grade levels. Please consider donating to this project and help me BreakOUT OF THE BOX!
