My Students

I teach Chemistry to a diverse group of artistic students at a Title I visual and performing arts school in downtown Los Angeles. Students come to our school from all over the city to our public high school to receive a top notch education in both academics and their chosen art form (music, dance, visual or theater) and go on to study at some of the top academic colleges and art schools across the country. When my students start reading about all of the chemicals they come into contact with everyday, they are surprised, curious, and eager to learn more!

I am always looking for ways to motivate my students in my classroom with innovative and exciting learning opportunities.

My Project

My Chemistry class has been changing since the introduction of Next Generation Science Standards, and for the better! Units and topics have become more interesting with real life application. No more boring Chemistry lectures, here! Along with these innovative ideas in the classroom, students need innovative lessons and activities to match!

With these requested Breakout Kits, my Chemistry classes with be so motivated to complete the task and "Breakout", they won't realize they are learning at the same time!

These kits provide locks, keys, invisible pens, USB drive, penlight, clue cards, and over 250 scenarios to help students get and stay motivated in my Chemistry lessons. Students will be provided with a real-life scenario and will have to rely on teamwork and work together to solve the task at hand.

With these Breakout kits, my classroom will be one of the most exciting classrooms in the school. Student excitement is the first step to learning!

Thank you for your consideration of my amazing students.
