My Students
My students come from a small community. We have a little over 400 students in grade prek-5. 100% of our students receive free breakfast and school lunch. Our class sizes are typically smaller than most, and we love to be engaged with hands on activities, centers, and technology enhanced activities.
We love to have fun and our school provides learning experiences inside and outside of school.
Our school also provides rigorous academics, dedicated teachers and a safe learning environment. As a result, we are consistently one of the top-performing schools in the state every year. Our goal is to prepare our students for success in high school and college.
My Project
I always look for ways to make math fun. I love to incorporate group work and encourage children to work together to solve problems. The kit will help engage students in a hands-on problem solving process.
With the development of many local escape rooms, the breakout kit will give students a chance to experience the thrill of problem solving.
In a world where instant gratification reigns, taking the time to solve problems is often problematic for students. It will provide a great way to show the students that hard work pays off! Thank you for taking the time to check out our project!
