Breaking the Technology Barrier

My Students

I don't know most of my students yet, but I am excited to meet them. Pre-K students are wonderful to teach. They are excited to learn new things and are so proud of their new knowledge.

I have one returning student who loves our circle and story time and the interaction with his classmates.

He is interested in dinosaurs and living animals of all kinds. He is the class paleontologist. He loves to listen to stories and look through books. He enjoys building and actively problem solves during learning to construct better and more intricate structures.

My Project

I am asking for Fire tablets for my students to be able to access our classroom from home. Last spring only about half of my students were able to go online and participate in our live remote classroom activities every day.

I would like to be able to help children who do not have the technology at home participate fully in our classroom activities.

If this project is funded, I can check out tablets that are built for young children to families so that students can access all classroom activities.
