This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are resilient, determined, and incredibly diverse. Many of them are newcomers to the country, learning to navigate not only a new language but also a new culture and education system. They come to school every day eager to learn, but language barriers can often make even the most basic classroom tasks overwhelming. Despite these challenges, they persevere, showing creativity, kindness, and a deep desire to be part of the classroom community. What makes them special is their unwavering motivation to succeed, their ability to adapt, and their powerful stories that enrich our learning environment.

This project aims to support these students by providing real-time AI translation earbuds that will help close the communication gap in our classroom.

The specific goals are to increase student engagement, improve comprehension of academic content, and boost their confidence in participating in class discussions. With access to translation in over 140 languages, students will be able to follow along with lessons, ask questions without hesitation, and feel more connected to their peers and teachers. These earbuds will not just translate words—they will open doors to opportunity, connection, and meaningful learning.
