My Project
At our PreK-8 school, we are proud to serve a beautifully diverse student body and community, including many multilingual learners and families. In order to foster inclusive communication and support the academic and social success of all students, we are requesting a tablet and three real-time translation devices. These tools will be used in classrooms, the main office, and during meetings with families to bridge language gaps and ensure all voices are heard and valued.
What We Need: We are requesting:
1 tablet to assist with digital translation apps and multilingual communication in real time.
3 handheld translation devices that allow for instant two-way communication between staff, students, and families who speak different languages.
These tools will be used:
In classrooms to support bilingual learners and teachers during instruction and small group work.
In the main office to welcome and assist families in their preferred language.
During meetings and school events to ensure families fully understand and can participate in their child’s education.
Why This Project Matters: Language should never be a barrier to learning or connection. These tools will help ensure our multilingual students and families are supported, respected, and included in every aspect of school life. When families can communicate freely with school staff, they are more empowered to engage with their child’s education—leading to stronger partnerships and better outcomes.
