Breakfast Snacks

Help me give my students breakfast snacks in case they are late to school and miss breakfast. The students at my school receive free breakfast, but many of the students come to school after breakfast is over.

My Students

I have the most amazing and wonderful special education severe and profound class. My students come from very low-income families. Many of my students live in government housing and the only meals they have are the free breakfast and lunch they receive at school.

My students come to school every day excited to learn reading, math, and life skills.

They are like sponges and I want to provide them with all the tools they will need to be successful.

My Project

My project, Breakfast Snacks, will help all the students at my school who come to school late and miss breakfast. There have been numerous studies that show that kids who are hungry are not able to learn at their full potential because they need food. The cafeteria is only able to serve breakfast for 30 minutes. Students show up late everyday and miss out. I want to help provide snacks that can be kept in the office so that if a student is late and has not had breakfast, has a chance to eat something.
