This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students revel in the joy of Breakfast Book Club, where they share a love for reading which creates lasting connections and intellectual vibrancy. The diversity within this group fosters rich discussions and a sense of belonging. Including small breakfast snacks, such as Little Bites and/or a granola bars, during our meetings helps the students start the day on the right track.

Book clubs play a pivotal role in student learning.

Discussions cultivate critical thinking and communication skills, as students analyze characters and themes. Exposure to diverse perspectives fosters empathy and a habit of regular reading, transforming solitary endeavors into shared experiences.

Book clubs significantly enrich student learning experiences by promoting critical thinking, communication skills, and empathy—shaping a lifelong love for reading, learning and literature. In addition, each student enjoys the opportunity to keep their book to add to their personal collection.
